SUPERFLEX: Modern Times, Forever at 1301PE
The SUPERFLEX exhibit at 1301PE is a time machine. The kind of time machine that takes you several centuries (and more) into the future. You enter a patent lobby and on the walls are choices where one of them is "Would you like to experience climate change as a mammoth? There is a hypnosis group session in Zanzibar on February 18, 2050."
Human Kinetics: ________ness video launch
Your grandparents will probably hate these two music videos directed by Bob Lyren. Cool grandparents (and parents) aside, Bob Lyren’s approximation of The Strangeness and Wilderness’s music, like two hulking figures hiding in a misty forest, feature images that range from the disturbing to just batshit insane.

Orcas
I remember when I was in film school, all I listened to was Benoît Pioulard’s music to get me writing. There’s something about it that is really difficult to put into words. Try listening to Tack & Tower, one of my favorite tracks of his. It could be the combination of his voice, the ambience of the song, and the poetic lyrics that puts you in such a dreamy disposition. Like you’re in a place you’re not quite familiar with and it’s totally okay. You don’t mind hanging there for... Read The Rest →
On Loop: “Life of Crime” by Geographer
One of the bands I just can’t stop listening to lately is Geographer. I remember hearing the single Kites from their Animal Shapes EP for the first time. I found myself immediately drawn to the odd mix of the driving synth (almost cheery, even), the rich-sounding cello, and lead singer Mike Deni’s powerful, melancholic voice. Their debut Innocent Ghosts explores the themes of love and loss. Despite the tragic circumstances that lead Deni to creating wonderful music with cellist Nathan Blaz and drummer Brian Ostreicher, both from the prestigious Berklee... Read The Rest →

Crosses †††
Crosses ††† started as a witch house project by Shaun Lopez with vocals by Chino Moreno. Sounds from both equally talented musicians combine to create a melting pot of electric, industrial heavy instrumentation and soothing, neon vocals.
