Watch: Plants and Animals + Here We Go Magic

Here are two music videos that we absolutely love right now and it’s not that hard to figure out why. The first video is very nostalgic, set in a 1960’s TV show complete with the absurd facial expressions, exaggerated movements, and the dapper wardrobe. The second video is the exact opposite with its futuristic concept of a super realistic dancing robot played by the very charming Janet Pants. These are examples of great concepts executed perfectly in a time wherein anyone can make music videos as long as they have an iPhone or a dSLR with video. Also, it’s not like back in the (more prominent) MTV days when music videos were treated with grandeur and were much hyped about (remember all those “world premieres”?). So it’s always refreshing to see good ones made with great effort and thought. I guess it’s no coincidence that both bands released some of the most outstanding new music this year. They’re currently on tour so check out their Facebook pages for complete dates. Plants and Animals was in Los Angeles last Saturday at Bootleg Theatre while Here We Go Magic will be stopping by on June 15 at The Echo. Be sure to check our calendar for more details!

Some of my favorite things are beef jerky, bacon, Benedict Cumberbatch, pistachios (aka the nut of the gods), my husband's face, and coffee.
