Watch: “Moonbeams” by Family Band

[one_fourth][/one_fourth][three_fourth_last]Here is an oddly sweet video about two skeletons falling in love by Brooklyn-based ambient rock group Family Band. It’s off their sophomore album Grace & Lies released on July 24th via No Quarter. Cute as it is, apparent are the dark undertones as well of the video which may be linked with any romance story (morbid as this may sound) – death and loss.

The skeletons are played by the band’s principal members, married couple Kim Krans and Jonny Ollsin. Krans, also a visual artist and founder of The Wild Unknown, painted the skeleton costume which was worn to a dance party. “I shot some footage of her dancing. We realized that skeletons doing anything is awesome, so we just added a little love story and mischief to it,” says Ollsin. Director Sam Macon built the underground sets which where fittingly filmed in the basement of a funeral home.[/three_fourth_last]

Some of my favorite things are beef jerky, bacon, Benedict Cumberbatch, pistachios (aka the nut of the gods), my husband's face, and coffee.
