Brian Wilson live at Kresge Auditorium, July 23, 2013

[white_box]Brian Wilson, the legendary chief songwriter of the Beach Boys, played the gorgeous Kresge Auditorium at the Interlochen Center for the Arts in Interlochen, Michigan with two other Beach Boys, Al Jardine and David Marks. The night started smoothly with openers Wilson Phillips, a girl group consisting of Brian Wilson’s daughters, Carnie and Wendy, and their best friend Chynna Phillips who’s the daughter of The Mamas & the Papas band members John and Michelle Phillips. Brian’s twelve-member band soon took the stage and opened with The Beach Boys song “California Girls”. A real standout in his supporting band was Jeffrey Foskett’s voice when he sang “Don’t Worry Baby” sounded almost as good as the original. Other setlist highlights include “In My Room” with Wilson Phillips, a fantastic version of “Heroes and Villains”, “Wouldn’t It Be Nice”, “God Only Knows” dedicated to his brother Carl, “Good Vibrations”, and a solid five-song encore. All this took place in the lovely outdoor venue Kresge Auditorium with Green Lake in sight.[/white_box]

Some of my favorite things are beef jerky, bacon, Benedict Cumberbatch, pistachios (aka the nut of the gods), my husband's face, and coffee.
