There are some Satellite residences that go down in Los Angeles music history – Body Parts’ will be one of them. Ryder Bach and Alina Cutrono make the kind of pop that is not sickeningly sweet, but sultry – evident on their first full-length Fire Dream. The group’s performance and R&B influenced sound has an admirable subtlety that lies just outside the current indie spectrum. Support acts this week featured some of Los Angeles’ best (maybe candidates for future residencies?) in Kera and The Lesbians, James Supercave, and the debut performance from Air Life.
You’ve got one last chance to witness history in the making next Monday, November 25th as Body Parts close out their residency with Touche, Albebody, and Among Saves at the Satellite.
