Echo Park Rising 2014: Photos

A wide range of people flooded the streets the past weekend on Sunset Blvd, in Los Angeles, for the annual event Echo Park Rising, and this year didn’t disappoint. An eclectic of bands performed at the iconic venues Echo, Echoplex, and various stages, Taix the main stage, Methodist Church, and Lot 1Cafe. All the venues were in walking distance of each other, which made it easy not to miss a set, if you were trying to see another act. The bands who performed over the weekend were Delux, Peanut Butter Wolf, Allah-Las, Woods, Mystery Skulls, and many more. It wasn’t only bands performing, but other artists as well doing poetry readings and comedy sketches. There was a bar set-up by the Taix main stage where people could drink while listening to music. Echo Park Rising is a free annual event, which made it easy for families to bring their little ones as well. Photos and words by Kelly Rosales
