On Loop: “Infinite Cities” by The Bright Light Social Hour

Today, we’re sharing a great track called “Infinite Cities” by new psychedelic rock band called The Bright Light Social Hour from Austin, Texas. The track comes from their just released sophomore album Space is Still the Place last month via Frenchkiss Records, which has received a significant amount of praise already.

The record encompasses the idea of a “Future South.” According to the band, “‘Future South’ is both an aesthetic and political statement. We’re taking forms and influences from soul, blues, and gritty southern music and ushering them forward. The idea evinces the south can be a vibrant egalitarian place.”

Catch them live at the Bootleg Theater on May 1st. You can get your tickets now via Tune Stub.

Some of my favorite things are beef jerky, bacon, Benedict Cumberbatch, pistachios (aka the nut of the gods), my husband's face, and coffee.
