The Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre will serve once again as ground-zero for KROQ’s annual Weenie Roast, and this year the venue will be filled with the anthems of indie-rock heavy-weights. From the neo-soul rock of Florence and the Machine to the subdued rock of Death Cab for Cutie, many of the band’s that will be taking the stage May 16 will have released or be releasing a new album. Muse, Cold War Kids, and Of Monsters and Men will all be performing with their newly polished sounds in mind.
The lineup itself is drastically stacked compared to last year’s show with Beck and Avicii. KROQ has left little room for disappointment. Tickets are on-sale Friday, May 1 at noon for any members of KROQ’s promotional street team.
